Whispers at Newcastle Beach
The sky leaned low with a breathless hue,
As seagulls carved the wind in two.
Soft sun spilled gold on shifting seas,
And time dissolved in the salt-kissed breeze.
The waves came dancing, shy and slow,
Brushing the shore with a lover’s glow.
Each foamy sigh a whispered grace—
A fleeting touch, a soft embrace.
The sand, once scattered, found its shape
In every tide’s sweet, rolling scrape.
Like old wounds smoothed with care and time,
Each ripple sang a wordless rhyme.
I stood where ocean meets the land,
Bare feet buried in silken sand.
No need for prayer, no need for speech—
The divine was there, within my reach.
For in that hush, that vast expanse,
The waves and I began to dance.
And all I carried, all I knew,
Was washed away and made anew.
