Blackie_the_rascal_cat likes to play chess.
Unfortunately, Hubby finds chess too time-consuming.
So Blackie_the_rascal_cat, ever the independent spirit, decided to venture into the world of Yahoo! Chess to try her luck.
But here’s the twist: she assumed that since chess is often considered a man’s game, being a woman might mean fewer opponents willing to play with her.
So she made a strategic move — she changed her gender setting to “male.”
As she (now a he) entered the chess room, the reception wasn’t quite what he expected.
Most of the other males (as Blackie presumed them to be) weren’t interested in playing unless “he” could prove himself worthy.
Rookie status didn't cut it.
Eventually, one player — a She — offered a match.
But it quickly became apparent that she talked too much. “Too distracting,” muttered Blackie_the_rascal_cat.
So, abandoning the game, he sighed and retreated.
Then came another idea. “Hmmm… let’s see what happens if I switch back to female.”
And just like that, she returned to the chess room.
Within minutes, several invitations flooded in — mostly from male players.
You see, what many didn’t know was that Blackie_the_rascal_cat is actually quite good at chess.
Out of every 10 games, she often wins 8.
Not bad for a woman trying Yahoo! Chess for the first time. (This, by the way, is the only time Blackie_the_rascal_cat will shamelessly compliment herself.)
With renewed confidence, she accepted a match from a player calling himself I_am_blackie_too_but_not_a_cat.
She checkmated him three times in a row.
When she finally wanted to call it a night, he asked, “Are you sure you’re a woman? You sure don’t play like one.”
Blackie_the_rascal_cat replied, “I think I’m a woman today... but who knows? Tomorrow, I might decide to be a man — just for a change”
What does any of this have to do with spiritualism?
Absolutely nothing.
